Personally, I have always tried to be the person who always keeps his cool. I don't enjoy confrontation, but that doesn't mean that I don't like to argue. Tranquility itself is defined as "an untroubled state; free from disturbances" according to www.dictionary.reference.com/browse/tranquility. This is something I definately need to work on in my personal life because I'm anything but free from disturbances these days.
----
I do have a plan to implant more tranquility into my life though. The most logical course of action would be to lock myself in a box with a small supply of food, water, and entertainment. For obvious reasons, such as the incrimination of my wonderful CP English teacher, I cannot put this theory into practice. However, I am able to remove from myself the disturbances and stressful situations. All it takes is time...
This video is a collaboration of two things that are freaking amazing to me.
One thing being a band formally known as Tonic from the 90's. The song in the video is called If You Could Only See, and if I remember correctly it came out in 1997. It's been one of my all-time favorites and I could listen to it forever! :)
The footage is from a movie straight from the Final Fantasy saga called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. I remember a few years back when Plastation was big, I played Final Fantasy VII for something fun to do.
Both of these things helped me to relax at one point or another during the course of my life. Whether or not someone else might like them, I really don't care. I just thought I'd share something that was both personal and relevant to this subject.
ENJOY!!!!!
Here's another fun video with music and awesome footage from a pretty decent video game.
The song is yet another of my personal favorites by a band caled Incubus. The song itself is called Drive, and the first time I ever heard it, I promised myself that I would one day play lead guitar. Now at the time I was in elementary school, but that's beside the point.
I hope everyone enjoys this as well!!!
I guess technically this would be update #3 on this page. In light of recent tragedy, I feel compelled to express the thoughts and emotions on my heart at the moment, and hope that anyone who cares to read this will bear with me for being transparent if for just one moment....
First and foremost, I would like to talk about one Sarah Hurley. Her and I haven't personally crossed paths in the past, but I feel like everyone was affected by her in some small way. For me, it was the realization that every person can have a purpose without trying to accomplish anything. I have nothing but respect for her, and I hope that we'll get to get to know each other in Heaven one day...
On that same note, I would like to say that out of the hundreds of attendees to both the funeral and the viewing, I was not among them. I don't feel compelled to put myself in the path of someone else's suffering and grieving if it can be avoided, and personally feel that anyone that undertakes such behavior is both immature and cold. If someone close to you died, the last thing you would want is an unnecessary source of stress or mourning in addition to what you already have. Put simply, it's stupid and childish to go if you don't have a reason. What's more, there's those few who would take advantage of this tragedy to simply not go to school, and skip. Any other day, who cares??? I've skipped school before, I'm not playing the saint here. But to pretend to be in mourning over a fellow student's death is utterly horrid and brings nothing but disrespect to Sarah Hurley's name. And that, ladies and gentlemen, simply will not do....
On a happier note, I'm pleased to hear that Sarah's boyfriend Lewis Goshen is doing better after coming out of his coma and is continuing to fight for his health. I honestly don't remember meeting him personally, until I logged onto my Facebook account for the first time in a few weeks and saw his name under a list of friend requests. Hopefully his is a speedy recovery, so that I can further investigate this matter. Godspeed Lewis.....
Jordon,
You are speaking my language with the Tonic footage. Good luck practicing tranquility.
